What makes you better than other bookkeepers?
We are here to help you achieve your goals. Your interests will always come first as a client or prospective client. We won’t ever perform services just for the sake of performing services. Trust and Integrity are the only way towards establishing the foundation of a strong relationship.
What Documents do I need to provide to get started?
We typically ask for the most recent bank and credit card statements, prior financial reports, access to your QuickBooks or other accounting software and any outstanding tax filings.
My business is really small do I need a bookkeeper?
Generally you want to establish a good set of books at the very beginning before your business gets too big because financials are vital at every stage. We can help you establish that solid foundation to create a reliable system if you’ve already been in business for some time.
Why should I outsource bookkeeping?
You will have more time to focus on operating and promoting your business because we handle the day-to-day accounting. We can also help you understand your finances so you know exactly where your business stands.
Is my financial data safe with you?
As a business of our own, we understand the importance of keeping sensitive financial information private. We use encrypted platforms, secure cloud storage, and industry best practices to protect your sensitive information.
Do you offer different bookkeeping packages?
No we do not have predetermined packages. We customize all of our services to meet the unique needs of each client. Whether you want us to handle all things payroll or one aspect of your financial reporting, we’re here to help. We will do as much or as little as you request.
Can I pick and choose which bookkeeping services I use?
We will meet with you to get a better understanding of your company, what you’re looking for, and how we can help. We’ll make recommendations based on what you need, but you ultimately decide which service(s) you’d like to move forward with.

We do all of our bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online because it offers a number of advantages:
- Seamless tax prep. Virtually every tax preparer in the US knows how to work with QuickBooks. You’ll have the freedom to choose any tax preparer you want.
- Industry Standard. In addition to tax preparers, most other financial professionals (attorneys, bankers, and venture capitalists) all know how to work with QuickBooks. Again, this gives you the most freedom when making financial decisions.
- Data Portability. QuickBooks means you’re not locked in. If you ever decide to move on from Adept Bookkeeping, your data goes with you, in a format that is immediately useful.
How will you access our financial information ?
Preferably you create a separate login credential for us or you can choose to send statements. Your privacy is of the utmost importance and we keep your statements and/or login credentials secure.
Do you provide payroll services too?
Yes we provide full-service payroll through QuickBooks Payroll or ADP. We can handle direct deposits, tax filings (IRS forms 940 and 941), and year-end forms like W-2s
Where are you located and do you work with clients outside your area?
We’re based in San Antonio TX but we can work with businesses across the USA. All our services are cloud-based and available remotely.
